Hancom WITH Inc., a subsidiary of South Korea’s computer software company Hancom, is the latest to jump on the non-fungible token (NFT) bandwagon as it is readying to field works of artificial intelligence composer Aimy Moon on the NFT market.
Hancom WITH announced Thursday that its affiliate Hancom Artpia has signed an exclusive contract with Enterarts, a local AI-based content production company, for employment of its creation virtual composer Aimy Moon.
Under the partnership deal, Hancom will issue Aimy Moon’s IP in NFT later this month.
Commanding over 30,000 fans at home and abroad, Aimy Moon has released 16 K-pop digital singles and is currently active as a music creator in metaverse platforms including U.S.-based Roblox and Naver’s Zepeto.
Digital music composed by Aimy Moon will be issued into NFTs to offer copyright fees as rewards for NFT owners, Hancom Artpia said. The company will also upgrade graphics of the virtual composer by employing the technology of Hancom’s metaverse platform developing unit Frontis and hold virtual concerts on metaverse platforms to expand fan base.
“We will add IPs of other virtual humans to our portfolio to expand our NFT business and ultimately to create a virtuous cycle where creators and buyers can benefit,” said Song Sang-yup, CEO of Hancom WITH.
