Founded in March 2020 by creative director Hayley Mack, cent.ldn designs unique candle collectables. Each is custom made and hand poured in London by the specialist team.
The brand has gone viral in recent months for a number of distinctive candles including boombox and basketball shaped designs and a London-themed “container candle” that was inspired by creative communities around the capital.
This week cent.ldn are taking on the metaverse and virtual home decor with Girl Gang, a collective of female founders and creatives. Collaborating on a bespoke candle and signature scent alongside an NFT of the candle itself,
A limited run of 500 NFTs retailing for .08 ETH. For every NFT purchased, a portion of sales will be donated to foundations focused on supporting growth for girls and women in tech.
Once all the NFTs have sold, a few buyers (chosen at random) will be gifted the physicap bespoke candle which retails for £1280/$240 and will be available to purchase from early 2022.
The NFT features an original music production by Los Angeles-based musician Daniel Allan who curated music that embodies the beauty and immersive experience of lighting a candle at the end of a good day.
Conscious of the ecological concerns surrounding NFTs, cent.ldn and Girl Gang have ensured a sustainable solution for the NFT by using Polygon/MATC which is is over 99.99% more carbon efficient than Ethereum.
